Latest report on ASUS EEE PC 1215T WITH AMD PROCESSOR NOW SHIPPING FOR $436: The Asus Eee PC 1215T with a 12.1 inch screen has gone on sale. Amazon has started taking orders for the AMD-powered 1215T for $ 436.

The Asus Eee PC 1215T is powered by a 1.7 GHz AMD Athlon processor K125 and ATI Radeon HD 4250 graphics. The 12.1-inch LED backlit display has a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. Other specifications include 2GB of DDR3 RAM, a 320GB, 5400rpm hard drive, HDMI, VGA output, a 0.3 megapixel webcam, WiFi and Ethernet LAN 802.11b/g/n.

The Eee PC runs Windows 7 1215T 32-bit operating system. The notebook measures 1.5 inches thick and weighs 3.2 pounds.

Th! e Eee PC 1215T seems to have the same chassis design as the Eee PC 1215N. But while the 1215N has an Atom processor and graphics ION, the 1215T has an AMD processor and ATI graphics similar to ION. Both machines can deliver more or less the same CPU and graphics performance, but the 1215N will improve battery life to get. On the other hand, the 1215T will cost nearly $ 50 less than 1215N.
